Have you signed onto our Statement to Political Leaders?

Christian leaders from across the world have already signed onto our Statement to Political Leaders on our Hope for Creation. Will you join them?

Hope for Creation takes place just weeks before a critical climate change negotiations start in Durban, South Africa. To ensure our voices are heard in Durban, a small group involved in the day have produced a Statement to Political Leaders on our Hope for Creation.

The statement is available in EnglishFrenchSpanish and Portuguese and calls on world leaders to world leaders to act with urgency and ambition to tackle climate change.

We hope that hundreds of Christian leaders from around the world will sign onto the statement to ensure our voices are heard as negotiations begin. It will be delivered at the start of United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 17) in Durban to;

  • Christiana Figueres, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)
  • Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, South African Minister for International Relations and Cooperation who is President of COP17

We invite Church Leaders, CEOs and Directors of NGOs and para-church groups to sign onto this statement on behalf of their organisations.
